Help with this tomato from Turkey
Now,
This is a tomato that is being sold from Turkey, but I don't believe it is a "Turkish" tomato. It is being sold on eBay as a "pink tomato." I emailed the seller and I asked the name of the tomato. The seller responded that it was just called "pink tomato." Here is the link to the listing on eBay http://r.ebay.com/YObxKe What do you all think of this? I'm sure someone has a bridge to sell me if I actually believe what the seller wrote about it.... |

I didn't take the time to find those pictures, but the variety is RL, ribbed and PINK and is being grown out for seed production for me this summer. Carolyn Carolyn

Thank you Carolyn. I'll do a search for that tomato name. Maybe it really is a legitimate Turkish tomato. Very interesting.

Yes, Sakarya Pembesi is an authentic Turkish variety that is traditionally grown in the town of Sakarya. Carolyn, I believe that this was the only survivor out of the three, right?
