Grandma Aiello's Tomato

I bought a pack of Grandma Aiello's tomato from JL Hudson this year and I'm growing it out.

Anyone else tried this tomato?

I was sent seeds for it along with the descrption from the Hudson catalog and it's being grown out this summer for seed production by one of the four folks who help with seed production for me. No updates yet, but the person growing it has had terrible rainy weather of late, plants standing in water, etc, so I hope Grandma made it through that

I listed it in that long thread where folks posted what they were growing this season along with all the other new ones that were on my list for this summer.

I have not been out to the site where we are growing it. Interns have been working that plot. But I'll get down there next week and check it out... hopefully I'll return with photos.

Above is a picture of it from the place selling it which will be the only picture from me since the person growing it for me has no camera.

But I've known him since the early 90's and we have pretty much the same tastes so if he says it's a good one. I'll go along with that.

All this depends on whether or not the plants survived, which I don't know right now.
