Default Nine years ago, today...

On a cold January afternoon, nine years ago on this very day, after months of planning and assembling all of the required components, I flipped the switch... and Tomatoville® went live on the Internet.

My appreciation to everyone, both old timers and newcomers, for building the community that we have become. I'm so very proud to have you all here.

Many other "tomato forums" have since come and gone, but we're still standing, taller and stronger than ever. My original intent was to create an ad-free site where people could share their knowledge, exchange ideas and opinions, while helping others. This has been fulfilled far beyond what I would have ever imagined.

Thank you all and hoping you'll continue to share in our success!

Whenever you visit my grave,

say to yourselves with regret

but also with happiness in your hearts

at the remembrance of my long happy life with you:

"Here lies one who loved us and whom we loved."

No matter how deep my sleep I shall hear you,

and not all the power of death

can keep my spirit

from wagging a grateful tail.

This web site appears to have been built on sound principles and high ideals. It is a cut above the rest and serves as a fine example of what an international web site should be. Thanks Mischka and thanks to all who make this web site the great place that it is. I salute you all.

I'd have a much tougher and lonely time growing tomatoes without all of you and this forum. Thanks Misch and each and every one of you.

I happen to agree. It's not just the best tomato site, not even just the best agricultural site. It is by far the best forum I have ever had the pleasure to join of any topic.

Most grateful.
