Robeson x Aunt Ruby's G.G. "Brown Derby"
Anyone have any experience growning Elser Farm's Brown Derby? Seems interesting and is sold by Elser's Farms: http://www.elserscountryfarm.com/tom...ml#brown_derby in California or you can buy the plants online at:
http://www.heirloomtomatoplants.com/...o%20_seeds.htm Heirloomtomatoplants.com has a couple of other Elsers Farms tomatoes that seem interesting such as Blood Gulch, Valhalla and Summer Cider. Al |

Elser's Brown Derby....(
Quote:
http://www.heirloomtomatoplants.com/...o%20_seeds.htm The Brown Derby that I released 30 some years ago is not the same as Elser's Brown Derby. For some reason Brown Derby Mix is still how some people refer to my early offer as it was segregating widely at the time and I included mix types ...some hollow, some not....some striped, some not. I try to google possible names when I put a moniker on new tomato lines to make sure there is not another one with the same name. The earliest named tomato should be the one to retain the name and as such Elser's Brown Derby is the name that should be used rather than just Brown Derby I have lots of crosses and segregating lines using Robeson and or ARGG and you can bet I will choose names for them accordingly regarding any duplicity. |
