What are the best dwarf varieties for fall planting?
Or big OP's or hybrids?

While I'm not a very experienced fall gardener, I'm going to try some earlier varieties this year like Early Girl. I'm going to try Sungold F2s as well. Where I live, everyone says to start fall garden tomato seeds around July 1. I'm going to start my seeds around June 1.

Tomorrow, I plan on documenting all the tomato varieties I have growing by which ones already have fruit on them. Average DTM can be helpful, but noticing which varieties produce earlier in your own garden is more useful. Those will be the ones I'll grow in the fall garden.

Super Sweet Cherry 100, Porter, Sungold, Dancing with Smurfs, Banana Legs, and Pinky Blast are some with early fruit in my garden.

I have been growing fall tomatoes for years and a few of my favorites that are more successful than most are Carbon, Berkley Tie Dye Pink and Big Beef. There are lots of others that have done well off and on but those three are consistent top performers in the fall.

Smaller faster works best for us in DFW in the Fall, any cherry, Kimberley, Gregori's Altai have produced. We have hopes for our first year with Brown and Black Boar

I was thinking about growing a bunch of dwarfs in 5-10 gal pots to give all my raised beds a rest. In fact- that's a great idea. I have about 10 or so dwarfs to try and IF I'm lucky, maybe they will over winter and I will get another crop come Spring!!!
