Tomato ID?
I got Dwarf Arctic Rose seeds from the MMMM that I planted and are just starting to ripen up now. The problem here being they are not turning pink, but rather a chocolately red with some green shoulders.
The plants are stocky and about three feet tall now. They are certainly dwarfs (my non dwarfs are all between five and seven feet tall). Any ideas as to what they are really? The fruit The plants back in mid June. I can get updated pictures of them later today if necessary... |

There's another thread here on the first page that might help, but not ided as coming from Gary's swap
http://tomatoville.com/showthread.php?t=37808 I can't find it right now but Gary has a thread here somewhere for folks who got wrong varieties from his swap that he can possibly help with, Perhaps someone can find that thread and link to it for you so that you can then post and ask Gary directly. I'll be taste-testing/saving seeds from these later today. I hope they taste good! I'm planning on dedicating a spot in my garden purely for dwarfs next year and I'm very fond of how these plants look and grow. I still want to try Dwarf Arctic Rose, so I think I'm going to take you up on the free seed offer, Ted. I'll be on the lookout for your post this fall |

I believe you are the second person to have the same problem. We narrowed it down to actually being Tazmanian Chocolate. This is another example of just how easy it is to have a tomato's name get clouded. You thought it Arctic Rose and it comes up brown. Hope you like the taste.
I will be offering Arctic Rose is my free seed offer this fall. So, hang on. It is really a great tasting dwarf. (And it is definitely PINK).
