Broke the 3# barrier ...

Grew a Big Zac F1 that weighed 3lbs 8oz. Would have broke the 4# barrier with a huge double fused Mushroom Basket, but one of my relatives decided to pick it and eat it without telling me...
No one is fessing up, which is typical. I was hoping to save seeds out of it. My trail cams didn't catch them, seems one was shut off.

Here's a pic of the missing tomato, taken a few weeks ago. Maybe I can put the pic on milk cartons for its safe return... But I fear it's too late.

Awesome! Big Zac is a great tomato. Here is one I grew two years ago- it was right at 3 lbs.

Nice! I grew some Big Zac F2s this year also which were almost as big and the plants were loaded. I'll be growing F1,F2 and F3 next year and see what they turn out like.

I do hope that it works... and I bet that whoever harvested the missing tomato enjoyed it immensely. I wonder if they actually ate it or used it for show and tell?

That happened to me one year too. I had only one tomato on my Delicious plant to grow large and gave my neighbors permission to pick a few tomatoes out of my garden. I forgot to mention not to pick the big one......

Or, you know, people who are polite enough to not want to see carelessly hurtful things said on a forum that's supposed to bring us together around a neutral topic like love of tomatoes.

We can all be careless and rude. It's how we make up for it afterward that is important. When I find myself being careless, rude, and inconsiderate, I try not to turn blame onto the people to whom I've been rude for being oversensitive or "politically correct".

The largest ever tomato that I have grown/weighted was a shade under 20 oz. And that was Ananas Noire.
