For $5.

Garden Tone is $5.00 for 8# bag. Holly Tone, Azelea food, all Espona are 1/2 price.

Jobe's Tomato was $3.50 for what, 4 or 4.5#?

Miracle Grow Shake & Feed was $5.00 for either tomato or super bloom

Jobe's rose spikes were $2.50 for a bag. I figured I can either smash them up or dissolve them and use for peppers.

Jobe's houseplant spikes $.50

Expert Gardener Tomato and Vegetable Plant Food, 4 lbs
Walmart #: 001637661
was $2 on the web site but I think I paid more for it yesterday.

Some of these items I found were 1/2 price in the stores but still full price on the website.

Thanks peppero. Saw fertilizers above but didn't need. Bought 3 bags of Jobes bone meal for $2 each, for garlic. Grills are half price if you want to roast toms.

You can never have enough fertilizer. And it doesn't expire.
What does # mean though, I keep seeing that more and more? Pound?

As a youngster growing up in Bayern we would use it alot since dad was Ami and mom Deutscher.Down here in zone 10B with 100 plus humidity I have to keep all my fertilizers(granular) in the house. Some fertilizers when wet turn into some oozing sludge for me.

That's the pound symbol in the US. On automated phone systems in the US, you'll often be asked to "press pound" (press the # key) to complete/verify an entry, move on to the next step, etc.

I think it's the mag sulfates that are so unstable, the dry granular form even cakes in my basement, 60F and 30% humidity.

Often I will see that evidence of the soup oozing from the pallets of ferts in the bays.I will go to the manager and make a deal per/bag and usually get almost half off.The amount of ferts I can go thru with all the mangoes, bananas,Lychee, papaya etc to get those "optimal results" would broke me.Then the mater season with the delicates. The soup I will dilute in buckets of well water and then broadcast for the 20-30 ft trees. At any dept you can make a deal on scratched ,dented, ripped open bags etc.at our HD.

never heard of her? Lychee. Maybe they don't travel well? How does it taste?

Round here they would rather throw stuff in the garbage than give me a deal. I used to try and bargain some plant prices when I was feeling like doing a rescue, but no dice.

I avoid Wal-Mart like the bubonic plague, but might do a local drive by to see if there are any "good" deals. We have one of those super wm, last time I went looked like they were staging the garden center with deer hunting paraphernalia.

We shall see. thx

Default THANKS for the heads up on this

Just got back from Walmart and couldn't believe the prices considering our fall season is just starting.

The entire isle was on sale and still fairly well stocked.

Didn't really need TT because I'm very stocked up.

Bought two different types of Osomocote, the 8 lb bag was $9, and the 4.5# shake one was $7.

I've never tried Osomocote before but my tomato plants always run out of food (TT) and the prices were too good to pass up.

7# - Epsom Salts $2.50

Espoma Kelp Meal $9

The Espoma Liquids (Start, Grow, Bloom) were $5 (previously $12.9x). I tried a GROW before but they were SO expensive per gallon.

The JOBS Citrus spikes were only $2.50 but only had one left....

There are about 10 varietys I know of.
You can get a early and late harvester.
Trees at 20-25 ft(harvest industry standard).
They literally hang like grapes 25-40 in bunches inch to 2 inch hard alligator skin, white gelatinous covering over a chestnut looking seed.
YOU CAN NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH FAST ENOUGH.
Real sweet,watermelonish,grape,really good.
Sold in cans at the Oriental markets.
You can freeze them.
They need to be processed for us no later than 4-5 days, they turn turd brown, although the most most sought after is a smaller late season turd brown harvest.

Thanks to all of you for the Wal-Mart sale notification.

We got 8 lb. Tomato Tone for $5, Expert Gardener tom and veg for $2, Espoma Lime for $2, and a few other things I can't remember.

Since we took all of the Tomato Tone they had, we drove over to another WM. Funny thing, the Tomato Tone was NOT on sale in their computer, and they would not honor the price we had just paid for the sale.

We'll try another store in the morning.

Thanks for the tip! I was in Walmart yesterday morning at my usual 5am shopping time, had forgotten all about your mention of this, but when I happened into that section looking for something else, aged brain remembered, and sure enough, marked down here, too. They were out of Tomato Tone, but got some Plant Tone, some Kelp, and a several other things. Probably would have bought more if I'd had more time to study what was there.

Thanks again for taking the time to post this!
