Girl Girl's Weird Thing is on my list, too.
I also want to try Esterina F1 from Johnny's. I may order a pack of Marbonne F1 as well to grow in the high tunnel. And there's always new stuff from Wild Boar Farms that looks fun. |

I decided to limit the number of tomatoes in my garden next year. I'm thinking 4 varieties, 1 plant each. Here is my tentative list:
1.Ananas Noir 2.Bull's Heart 3.Canestrino 4.Unknown red slicer, seeds saved from unknown variety. I know it will be difficult for me to keep my tomatoes at a minimum since I have seeds for several new varieties but, this year, I felt like a slave to my tomato plants, not fun.... |

In our main garden, we are going to grow some of the varieties that have grown and produced very well for us in the past. They are ones I saved seeds from.
Ambrosia Red Helsing ★★★★★★★★ Blue Japanese Pink Cherry Matt's Wild Cherry Medovaya Kaplya Porter Sweetie Texas Wild Cherry WOW & maybe a few others. In raised beds - Sungold F1, Suncherry Extra Sweet F1, and others. |

OK. I got bit hard by the tomato bug this year so I have space for about 50.
I also plan to plant some rootstock seed to try grafting for the first time. I'll use any extra seedlings that I would otherwise throw out. So far, the disease pressure in my garden is fairly low but I have limited space and I will not always be able to rotate. Here is my tentative list but I'm hoping Seed Swap Santa will bring me a few substitutes: Kapidag Red Kopek Hayasi Tekin’s Bugarian Pink Aunt Ruby’s German Green Girl Girl’s Wild Thing Idaho Hillbilly Pineapple Orange Jazz^ Ruby Gold Casey’s Pure Yellow Brandywine Cowlicks^ Cosmonaut Volkov Large Red^ Rosso Sicilian^ Costolulo Genovese^ German Johnson, Benton p Weisnichts Ukranian p^ Rebel Yell p^ Pruden’s Purple p^ Caspian Pink p^ Omar’s Lebanese p Red Barn Old German Chocolate Stripe Black from Tula JD’s Special C-Tex Daniel Burson Brad’s Black Heart Black Sea Man Black Krim Black Prince Black Plum Paul Robeson PASTE: Polish Linguisa Opalka Paste CHERRIES: Galina’s Sun Gold F1 TMV Chadwick’s Cherry Isis Candy Black Cherry Ron’s Carbon Copy Purple Bumblebee Sunrise Bumblebee Pink Bumblebee Pink Princess Blue Chocolate Cherry Blueberry Cherry CONTAINER: Dwarf Artic Rose Tasmanian Chocolate Wherokowhai Willa’s Cariboo Rose |

This year's plan:
I'm grafting all my in ground tomatoes for the first time, I've scaled back my raised bed plants by three (one row), and I'm eliminating all grow bag plants except for the dwarf project grow outs (these will not be grafted) As for what I'm growing, this is as far as I'm going until I see what the Swap adds to my seed collection -- Eating (going for variety again this year): One cherry (Franchi cherry) One early (probably Moskvich) Hearts - Yellow/orange (TBD) Pink (probably Cuor Di Beau) Red (probably Donskoi) Beefsteak/Round - Yellow/orange (probably Azoychka) Pink (probably Seek No Further Love Apple) Red (TBD) Repeat Pastes: Santa Maria Nudi Family Heirloom Oroma Buddy Runyon San Marzano Redorta Russian 117 (also good for eating) New pastes - five varieties TBD |
