Default Belhommes Fortuna - any info?

Hello all,
My first proper post - can anyone help with info?

I picked up some tomato seed labelled Belhommes Fortuna Potato Leaf at a local seed swap. I can't find out anything about it. It's not listed as far as I can see on Tatiana's Tomatobase, and Google comes up with nowt.

Does anyone know anything at all about it?

cheers!

It seems that Fortuna is a hybrid. Could someone have de-hybridized it and attached their name to it? You could grow it and see if it's worth growing again.......

I found this at the French site Vent Marin: "Belhomme's Fortuna OP...Fruit red cherry type 30 to 50 grams. Plant with potato leaves. 80 to 85 days. Indeterminate growth."

Well done! Google suggested Vent Marin, but when I went there Belhomme's wasn't listed

Thank you! I hadn't seen the French site, thanks for pointing it out. Sounds good to me, looking forward to growing it.

Ventmarin is an excellent data site that's been maintained by Christian in France for many years. No seeds sold.

Is it perfect? No, mistakes appear but if you contact him he will fix it.

Here is the link

I've said so many times I want to write a sticky describing how I go about finding out about varieties and I will do it since a good amount of my time here at TV is doing searches for others. All should know how to search for variety info and it starts here at TV using the search feature correctly and then proceeds elsewhere..

I need to do more self research. . I do enjoy Carolyn's poignant dissertations on tomato types and history that you can't get anywhere else..

I can't wait to learn how to use TV's search feature properly.
It has frustrated me no end. Somehow it is configured differently than other search engines.

So...may the lessons begin!
Oh, and thanks so much, Carolyn!
