Pepper Tracker Software
I have updated the Pepper Tracker software I offered last spring and it is now available free for forum members.
The program is very similar to the Tomato Tracker software but with pepper choices. You can download the software at Pepper Tracker Download. I will respond to questions either through the link in the software or on this thread. Thanks, Mike |

Hi Spike2,
Please feel free to ask a question here or click the "Ask a Question" on the opening screen of either program. |

Thanks for the update, I really like the improvements.
Spike2, both of these programs are really easy to use. Once you get started you won't have many questions but if you do, Mike is really good about helping you. |

Thank you Mike. Very nice to have all the info in a format that is so easy to read.
Question - I downloaded the program on my desktop and will do the same on my laptop. What is the best way, if there is one, to transfer the data revisions from out in the field (laptop) to the desktop. - Lisa |

Hi Lisa,
When I went to answer your question, I noticed that I had left out the data sharing part on the Pepper Tracker. I'll fix it today and send an update notice to those that requested I keep their emails for notifications. Thanks for asking your question. |

Hi Lisa,
I posted the new update so, after you have installed it, you should be ready to move or share the data file. The simplest way would be to use a USB drive (flash drive, thumb drive, etc.) Browse to C:\ PepperTrackerData and cut the PepperTrackerData.accdb and paste to the USB drive. Open the program and it will ask you where the file is. Browse to the USB drive and double click the PepperTrackerData.accdb to attach the program to it. When you have finished, close the program first and then remove the USB Drive. Install the program on the second computer. After you have it running on the second computer, close the program and delete C:\PepperTrackerData.accdb. Put the USB drive in that computer and open the program. Browse to the location of the USB drive (This might not be the same drive letter as the first computer.) Double click the PepperTrackerData.accdb. This attaches the program to the data, which will be the same as it was on the other computer. Always remember to close the software before you remove the USB drive. If you are a little more techie, you can cut the data and paste it to a shared folder in Dropbox or another cloud drive and you wouldn't need to mess with the USB. If you choose this option and want more info, let me know. If the data is on a cloud drive, you can't have the program open on both computers at the same time. Thank you, Mike, for your instructions. It will be so nice to have everything sortable in one place. I pulled a long weekend shift and my mind is toast. I'll try for help with the cloud from some of my son's friends when they get "caught up" with their projects. One friend works at the apple store so it should be easy sailing. The hard part is catching them in a rare free moment of not playing youtube videos!

I believe that those interested in the software have had time to download the software and/or the latest update.
I will leave the software link up until the end of March. I will continue to offer updates for those who asked that I keep their emails as those updates become available. |

Last day to download
Today is the last day that the Pepper Tracker download will be available this spring. If you have already downloaded and ask that I keep your email address, I will let you know if any updates to the program are available and how to download and install them.
Thanks for the interest and I hope the software proves to be valuable to you. Mike |
