Glad you watched. I have no opinions. Just enjoyed seeing the old seed packets and hope he has some success. He comes across as genuine to me watching his other vids. |

I'm sorry, but having dealt with a considerable amount of old stuff, the Philips screws in the back of that frame scream FAKE to me.

I do. It's drama he will milk for his YouTube channel, and $. Check out this video where he sees sprouts from the 87 year old seeds. The drama's through the roof.

This folks, is called initiative...
In my line of work, with no initiative, nothing ever gets invented. I think it's awesome that he got one tomato to actually sprout! I'll be following his experiment and will root for the little seedling. It appears that many others are too..to bring back a variety from 1930 is amazing.... |

The hanger could have been installed later, when buildings went from plaster walls to drywall?? Come on. As far as the seeds go- he tried to rejuvenate hundreds from that seed pack- and got only one to germinate. One. Well, at least so far.
I have no reason to doubt this fellow- yes, it's true he could have been scammed on Ebay, but let's just see what he grows out |

He's an overly dramatic geek, no question. Over the top, absolutely. But I took the time to read all the Youtube comments on both videos, and yes, the question of Phillips head screws came up there too. Could be a modern hanger added later. Heck the frame and burlap could be from Lowe's last year. But we have no way of knowing about the the seeds, short of a DNA test. I for one believe him. My choice, and I could be disappointed. But I choose to look up......

This fella has a successful YouTube channel so he has obviously created a likable persona for the camera and consistent content. If it was BS I would call it clickbait, but I don't perceive a lot of BS with him. As always, opinions will differ. |
