Bought 2.5 Tomato Plants.
Two and a half. I'm wondering if the small plant is from a seed that took longer to germinate? What do you think?
I grew three varieties to grow in three buckets, but I forgot about the buckets and the plants got too leggy/lanky. I had to trench plant them out in the garden. That's why I bought these today. I'm going to separate the two Indigo Ruby plants. When I saw them - it was the first time I had heard of Indigo Ruby. |

That is called 2 for 1 deal.
I think you are right. When they separated and potted up the second plant had not germinated yet.

I was going to buy a ghost pepper plant until I saw the $4.50 price tag for a wee thing.

The other day HD had 4 for $12. Actually $3 per plant. So I bought 3 plants : Ghost pepper (red Bhut Jolokia ), German Thyme and Juliet tomato for 9 bucks total. That iis all I have bought this year. I started from seeds about 100 tomatoes, peppers, eggplants. Yeah , my Okra , melon , and cukes are popping up.

I have about 3,000 plants right now, which my dad knows every year, but he still goes and buys plants, instead of letting me give them to him. It drives me nuts.
He said Menard's had 6-packs for $1.88, which is the closest I have seen to our farmer's market price of 6 for $1.50. I don't even try to sell six-packs any more. Customers want to pay $1.50 to $2 for one plant that is a little bigger, so they can try more varieties. |

lowe's throws away veggie plants when they are distressed instead of reducing price - i guess that's the way bonnie want's it now that is irritating!

I like those two-fers! tomato plants root so easily. Even when they have been pretty well fused together I have cut the dirt cleanly with a knife and repotted, left in shade for a couple days and bingo....two for one! You can never have too many tomatoes......

Do you think they would live if I tried to separate them? The entire plant is in a 4" container and is about 12" with pot. Also, just curious. What happens if you plant a two for together. If the container is large enough will it grow all right? |

$4.50!
We paid $1.40 for each tomato plant. and one was free. I agree, no such thing as too many tomatoes. |

I once bought a tomato plant and it had something else growing with it.
Turned out to be a summer squash. |

If someone were to give me a truckload of Bonnie Plants - I would burn them along with some old tires.
