Default gutter deicer

I had one of those gutter/roof deicing cables 30' long and I tilled the soil and laid that down in many loops so I could put my 2 hole cement blocks over it.
After 45 minutes it raised the soil temp in the blocks from 61.2 to 68.2
I will check it again at suppertime to make sure it isn't cooking.
I may have to use a timer and just have it on at night.
About 8.5' worth of blocks so I had to loop it about 5 strands under each block.
