Default Excited by the cold?

Something that I've noticed when I've come down in the morning is that my seedlings seem to be excited first thing before I turn on the light. It's been pretty chilly at night and it gets down to about 50 where they are. But they all seem to be vigorously reaching for the sky. Since first thing this morning (5:30 - now it's 9:30) when I turned on the light, many of the plants have relaxed some. Or were they all reaching up wanting to know where the light went? I wish I'd taken a picture.

This might have something to do with it.

Excited, yes I can see the feeling for leaves held high!
However this is afaict simply what plants do at night. From the time they are quite small, if I leave my lights on late I will find the seedlings totally hands-up, meaning afaict they are gone to sleep already so turn it out. Pepper seedlings do it too. Older tomato seedlings will more likely take all the hours of light they can get, but when you go down in the morning they are up inside the light fixture!! and you have to raise it again.
So IMO it is just about how they hold their leaves in darkness, ie, sleeping position!
