Fig & other fruit tree cuttings

Do any of you have a good source for fruit tree cuttings for propagation? I'm beginning to tinker with it some and have only been able to find them on places like ebay/etsy.

Yes Worth, I've been doing that, and working at a college is nice because they have many plants to pick from, but all of the fruit trees are all basic local varieties. I'd like to get some Jacobs Honey and a few other figs that you never see for sale here.

Lots of misidentified fig varieties on eBay. Try figBid. Or join Ourfigs and post in the trading/wanted section.

Hi,
I have a nice Marseilles fig bush that is huge. We really like it. It is a pale yellow when ripe and very sweet. This is said to have been Thomas Jefferson's favorite fig.

Thanks, will do. I need to be certain of variety as I will be selling these to other growers after propogating.

Yep. I just found out a big fig gathering is being hosted near me by one of the members. Crazy good timing for me.

Wanted to show the cuttings I got from friedgreen. She was kind enough to go out of her way to send me these. I'm new to all of this but I'm learning a lot over at Ourfigs.

I tried a different method of starting cuttings this winter and I'm sold on it. I think this guy is on Ourfigs too. I didn't use the parifin tape and used the cheap powder rooting hormone.

Cool! I'm sure I'll try every way. I'm hoping the ones I put outside root. If I can just use my potting mix and leave in the GH that would be perfect. I did use rooting hormone. Hormodin 3. Gonna try some other stuff too like Hydrangea and butterfly bush.

May build a misting bed outside in the shade and try to root a lot of things for resale. My customer base is growing and people want to get all there plants from me, so I'm trying to do fruit trees and perriennals now. What's wrong with me?
