French heirloom varieties?
Does anyone track these in particular? I'm tossing around the idea of dedicating a portion of my tomato beds next year to French heirloom varieties. I'm specifically interested in ones with some sort of historical pedigree (as opposed to newly-developed or found varieties).
Maybe 6 kinds or so. Any suggestions from people who keep up with that side of the world? |

I’m not to sure of any French varieties. I wouldn’t mind seeing a list of those names as well.

I tried Picardy a few years ago (poster Earl liked it and used it for canning). I grew a big, lush plant that collapsed almost overnight from dreadful blight. I never got to try the fruit.
Growing Saint Pierre this year. It's blooming now and I hope to try the fruit in August. I've heard good things about it here. |

Go to Tatiana's Tomatobase and enter "France" in the search bar. You'll need to scan the list of results to see which list " Country=France" under the variety name to see which originated from there.
