Angelo, glad to see your posting once again. Thats a nice looking tomato you have there. Who was your seed source for the Angora Supersweet? Ami

Just some clarification.

Quite a few years ago I received a variety from Joe Bratka called Velvet Red. He had bred it. it had lovely angora foliage that sparkled in the sun and small red cherries that I didn't think that much of.

Then I saw Angora Supersweet featured in the SSE Public catalog, and went checking that one in the SSE Yearbook and found out that they are the same variety.

Last I knew, since Velvet Red preceded the Angora Supersweet listing the offer for seeds was changed back to Velvet Red and the blurb said it was identical to Angora Super Sweet, which it is.

I've grown both and they are identical. I consider them as a novelty variety for the angora foliage and not a variety I'd grow for great tasting red cherries. Just my opinion.

I hope that helps.

Yes Carolyn, totally true...
I've also have this year Velvet Red, and they are very the same when it comes to high, fruits and stuff like that.
So i think that they are the same variety, just a other name.
Friendly greetings
