Seed sprouting report.
I am happy to announce that all of the seeds I have handed out to friends from afar have sprouted.
One of them lives in Idaho and his little girl (around 10 or so) planted and is taking care of them while he is at work. She calls him sometimes to tell him how they are doing and he gives her instructions. I just love to hear how children are interested in growing gardens and am happy I can be a part of it by giving seeds to folks so they can build a relationship with their children. The fellow has also shared the seeds with his grandfather and he is happy with them. I just thought I would let you guys know. Worth |

It's true Worth--how amazing kids can be with gardens. A friend of mine and his son ( 9 years old) came down from Taos for a day trip last summer and the little boy kept going up to the tomato plants and asking if the tomatoes on the plants were real --he was amazed at how big they were I think he thought I glued them on to the plant. I'm giving him his very own tomato plant so he can grow it this summer I'll have to pick a short season one for him since their av. last frost date is June 15
