Shock!: I'm still getting 'maters here!

I thought I'd have everything out of the ground by now, but I've been extra-lazy, only hit the one bed on the SE corner of the yard (needed the room for the cantaloupes). But it ought to have been an omen that most of the cukes refused to die and still produce a small handful of pickles per week, in spite of the heat.

I left the Carmelo and the Goliath alone because they were still producing smallish-but-decent fruit. Also the Bush Celebrity and the Cherokee Purple (finally did get one decent fruit, mmmmm) are still alive. And the Wap. Peach still has a few lingering.

What woke me out of my summer torpor, though, was a close examination of the Purple and the BC. Both had non-dropping blooms and -!!!- new fruit sets. I'm almost tempted to get out the last of the Sevin dust to nuke the stinkbugs and bring these babies home.
