Never liked them before -
I never did like cherry tomatoes: there was something about the "pop" that I didn't like - also I just didn't like the super sweet ones.
That was until I tried "Black Cherry" this season ... This varieties production, disease tolerance, and flavor were just outstanding. We've used them in so many dishes, and we're still picking them and its Oct. 23rd!!! Along with TYW, and a new pastey I'm working on, this is gonna be one of my mainstays in our patch for years to come... ~ Tom

black cherry
Glad you like it! I am hoping to plant a few plants next season. I really enjoy cherry tomatoes I don't get oogied out by the pop LOL. I do however get grossed out by green peas for that very same reason

Mmmmm sugar peas. I wish someone would puree it and then glaze a doughnut.

Very good flavor....The only thing I didn't like was we had heavy rain for a couple of days in August, and it affected the taste somewhat, along with creating splitting. I have 27 sitting on the shelf to ripen, along with about 30 tomatoes from other varieties. I left quite a few tiny tomatoes on the vine for the frost to take.

My only complaint is they ripen so late here, usually not until about September 10. But they are well worth the wait!

I always left the cherry tomatoes for my wife to eat. This year I ate Black Cherry like candy while working in the yard.
