The poor earthworms are on top of the ground gasping for air...my yard (of which I mow 4 acres) is standing with water over my shoe tops...and growing at an alarming rate.

No rain yet today...but they said it wouldn't rain yesterday and we got 2 hard showers.

Misery loves company, I guess.

I've had a whole weeks' worth of rain here...it's been murder on my seedlings.

Lush deep green plants now turning into spindly pale green ones - the overcast daylight doesn't seem sufficient enough light for them.

I built a shelving unit with lighting a few years back. It holds 20 flats but I have 40+ more that I had to place in a portable heated greenhouse for lack of room.

The weathermen say no sun until Wednesday, too!

We haven't had a drop in almost 2 weeks. Nice and warm though. I'd go out and plant a few if the black flies weren't so bad. Never seen them so bad this time of year. Thank God for deep woods Off.

Did you send the rain up here.

Rained all last week, rained heavy all night and raining now. suppose to rain all next week.

Now I know where all this rain is coming from. it was sent up here from New Jersey.

Hey will someone send some nice warm sunshine.

Yesterday I threw in the towel and brought all the plants back indoors. Now I am glad I did. they finally warmed up. they are looking good this morning Indoors.

haha. I feel so smart. My mother always said I was a smart a##. haha.

ticks, ticks, ticks.

they are terrible this year. the welts can last for months.

I think the New Jersey rain is coming to Vermont, so dont get mad at me. It just was passing through Massachusetts. but it is those Garden State guys who really got this rain into full gear.

We got a reprive on Sat and part of Sun...my nephew got the yard mowed...it's full of muddy tractor tracks, but he got it knocked down...started raining about 10 minutes after he got it done yesterday.

It's cold...about 48* and I'm back to running the heat in the house.

Tomato plants are still in their containers and waiting for it to dry up.

I'll bring seeds from Rose Beauty and Uncle Mark Bagby to put in Michka's ark...they're kind of obscure, and not many have them...

You know, we should start a seed bank and name it Michka's Ark. It just sounds cool.

Default Rain?

We're bone dry here - 90 today and the rest of the week. I'm waiting for the weather to cool before I transplant - they aren't totally "hard" yet!

Cold and rain through yesterday evening...today has dawned absolutely beautiful...no rain forcast for about 48 hrs. Supposed to be around 70 or so the next few days...sort of coolish for this area...but this has been a weird year.

Tomatoes are ready to go as soon as the ground dries up a bit. They're a little 'purple' for this time of year, but the temps have been so cold and it's been so wet, I don't think it's all that surprising either.

Rain is forcast for the weekend....*sigh*....
