My Big RaspBerry's are whispy!

Seed source Tomato growers supply, This variety is suppossed to be potato leaf and I have a Whispy set of regular leaf plants, I went ahead and planted a couple out to see what they produce. Any ideas on a Whispy leaf mutation or somthing or is this a complete packaging mess up?

Bryan. the issue for you is that you have RL foliage and not PL foliage which, yes, Big Raspberry should be. Wispy leaves just means that the leaves are usually narrow and finely dissected and sometimes droopy and is seen with many heart varieties. So the possible mutation you ask about is in regard to leaf from primarily, and not to the wispiness of the foliage.

How many seeds did you sow and of those how many were RL and how many PL?

If it wasn't just a stray seed, which can happen, and there was no mixup at your end then I suggest you call TGS and report what you have as to all seedlings being RL. not PL, or whatever the split is, excepting a possible stray seed, b'c any seed source wants to know if there are any problems with their seeds.

I started 4 and they are all regular leaf. I will call TGS to report the issue.
