Why not Orange as top winners 4 flavor?

I grew Persimmon the year it was a TGS freebie and it was ho-hum for me. KBX is the best yellow or orange I have ever tasted as well and yes I agree they are easy on the stomach and my wife gets those mouth sores from tomatoes but not KB or KBX so she loves them and I also have a neighbor who likes them better than ANY tomato I've ever grown...Period! (Save some for me! Save some for me! LOL) Me, there are a few I like better like Gary O Sena, Dana's Dusky Rose, Sudduth and Cowlick's Brandywine and a couple others but KBX is in top 10 for sure...

Oranges I like might include:

Orange Minsk
Earl of Edgecombe
Jaune Flammee
KB or KBX
Elbe
Dr. Wyche, kinda an orangish gold, but not yellow

Actually I find that I either like some oranges a lot or don't like the taste of some of them at all which would include Persimmon, Verna Orange and a few more.

@Timbo: good question. Personally, I could care less about color, I want taste, but if I am to grow for "market", then I need variety/etc. A good 'non-red' breaks the cycle.

ps: if you were to create a new 'black' variety, I'd suggest a name for it: Black Warrior, based on your local.

Northport is about 70 miles from here.

Orange Minsk - this one is a decent large orange, grew it this year.
Earl of Edgecombe - not orange.
Jaune Flammee - yes it is orange, but it is NOT a large orange. I love it just the same.
KB or KBX - Very distinctive pale orange color and very good flavor.
Elbe - Not an orange, more of a very round shouldered gold.
Dr. Wyche - in my garden, has always been a yellow with gold highlights and green shoulders.
