Default Why would tomatoes upset a stomach?

One thing that was weird for me this year was that sometimes the cherry tomatoes would upset my wife's and my stomach. Whats up with that? Never experienced it before. Maybe I am wrong but it seems tomatoes the "burst" from too much water were the main .

What variety? Maybe tomatos were infected with mold or bacteria entering through the cracks.

Read an article once that cherry tomatoes have a higher acid content, it was in relation to gout saying that regular tomatoes do not upset the condition but that sometimes cherry tomatoes do, Not saying you have that just saying the higher acid content could be a factor, also as stated if they are busted fruits it could be bacteria or a fungi as stated above I guess.
