Default See who came looking for dinner

About a month ago, we were priveleged to watch a flight of three Peregrine Falcons use the pasture for hunting. They took at least 3 rabbits and some mourning doves. They were at least twice the size of these other two raptors pictured below.

They've been here everyday for the last 9 days. The field mouse population is sufferig greatly much to my delight. What a wonderful, pleasureful pasttime it is to sit and watch these guys. They're magnificent. Say howdy to these Red Shouldered Hawks.

Very cool photos...we have them somewhere around here from time to time, I don't see them but they are across the street in the woods up high on the hill. I can hear them loud and clear. They are one of the reasons my son's new kitten (5 months old) is NOT allowed outdoors yet. She's too small and easy prey.

badass... i love watching our local raptors...

we're fortunate enough that bald eagles have moved back into the area after being gone for years... had one fly about 20 feet over my head in my driveway the other day... i think that is the closest i've ever been to a wild one, even at that spot in glacier park where there are hundreds of them.

I have owls in the woods and in my yard at night several kinds. Barn Horned and Screech.
It seems as more critters are around since the fire.
I can also see eagles and hawks in my back yard and the surrounding woods.

I love owls.
