Making some changes this coming season

Now we are into spring and getting near the end of last season potatoes ive decided to down size the number of varieties i grow.When i harvest my crop most of the potatoes go into crates all mixed up but moie moie is kept separate so it can be used as the last one eaten in spring because it keeps the best
So each night during winter we would often bake trays of many different types and one stood out from all the rest and that was La Ratte,so from now on i'm only growing that and Moie moie each other year with the idea to work towards berry growth and that way turn over the generations using TPS,i got Moie moie to grow TPS last season and have seedlings of it growing now but i'll need to try and get La ratte to somehow set berries.

I am also narrowing down the potatoes that I grow. This year I've discovered few surprises that yield great even with minimal rain water. I am making the selection based on some important features which flavors goes first, storage second and so on...My goal is to keep a few good varieties and keep doing TPS growing since it is the way I should save potatoes seed.

Yes i suppose it must seem strange that the other half of the world is now in spring

The key for me from now on Wendy is like yourself,getting them to set berries,this season coming i'll grow the Moie moie here and la ratte can go to a friends garden,i want to make sure there's no crossing,well thats if Moie moie wants to set berries again this summer like it did last last,ive got 10 TPS Moie moie growing now and already there different shades of colour between a few plants in there leafs,i'm just hoping that last seasons berry set was not just a "one off" been the first time it did it in the 20+years of growing it.
I'll start another thread and call it "Moie moie TPS plants" and update it over the coming months,will be interesting to see if any had crossed.
Anyone know how far away from the main block of Moie moie i should grow these to help cut down the chances of crossing,(ive got 15 acres)
