The blush on the end gets deeper. This is just before I ate the larger one:

This is a great variety to try if you like yellow tomatoes. I wish I had a KBX and a Yellow Brandywine next to it to compare. Flavor of Dr Wyche's is mild, but it's not altogether flavorless. It's meaty with not a lot of seeds. I can detect a little bit of acid in it. I think personally I like the knockout sweetness of the Yellow Brandywine better, but that's just me.

Nice pix especially the sliced one. It makes one hungry.

Those look nice. I agree about the flavor of Dr. Wyches being mild but it is better to me than many of the yellows and golds. KBX is my favorite of the golds because of its richer flavor. Dr. Wyches makes a good fall tomato because it can usually survive the plant out in mid to late summer and it ripens better in the cool fall weather than many others.

KBX vs the platfoot strain of yellow brandywine will be my yellow slicer head-to-head next year. Two years ago, Yellow Brandywine made about three tomatoes that were the best yellows I'd ever had. I'm hoping with hand pollination and better care, I can make it produce better.
