Default Biodegradable Pots

I just came across this article (from 2010) doing a comparison of various types of 'biodegradable' pots (most of which are 'plantable' rather than just 'compostable'.

http://longwoodgardens.org/blog/2010...egradable-pots

I thought it was interesting although I now mostly make pots from newspaper as you can see here (I apologize for the bad focus):

Interesting article. Been using CowPots for the last 5 years and never had a problem with the walls tearing even after completely submerging them in my preplant dip solution of Mycogrow, Actinovate and BiotaMax prior to plant out.

Tomorrow I will be potting up my seedlings started in Jump start peat Pellets into 4" square and 5" round CowPots.

You mean the white plastic containers? They're the bottom half of Chinese food containers!

Looks good.
I have accumulated so many plastic 3" pots that I don't need any thing to buy or make. I reuse them year after year plus we get more new ones when we buy flowers and that sort of things.
You can also get them for free at Lowes sometimes. Just ask !
