I agree with you.
The fairy tales are still there.

Worth, sorry to disappointing you:
Russians eat geese as American do turkey (holiday feast bird). The birds may sense that. Animals do. ):

I was going to kill it and eat it for thanksgiving. The darn thing took up with me and became my running around buddy in my truck. It never got ate but I used to raise this stuff for eating growing up. Goose and duck eggs are to die for, turkey eggs suck. Worth |

Ella, your MIL was pretty young for such trauma. Most goats are actually pretty friendly and love attention and love. Depends on the breed and how they are raised. Our goats were all friendly and gentle. We raised a few geese years ago, and yes, they are mean!! My kids were young, and they were scared of the honkers! Never again.. Now our white ducks were friendly as can be. We had a duck named Quack Quack growing up, and that duck followed us kids everywhere. We would walk down our country road, and up to the pond, he would love to swim in it. He was so sweet.. Unfortunately a skunk got ahold of him in his pen one night. He was five years old.. Ginny |
