The dwarfs will eventually talk to the orange tree too.

I should have linked to a vid of a very young Clint Eastwood singing..I talk to the trees,but decided not to.

Do you hear the lemon and orange trees talking to Volovsko and the dwarfs?

If so I'm getting seriously worried about you Gerardo.

Gerardo your plants look fantastic. for your DE spray, do you put neem in the spray as well or use it separately? I've been using a combo neem+DE spray but I'm worried about the neem getting to be problematic once we get more heat in the forecast, so I'm thinking I might need to make a separate spray for the neem and the DE and just use neem as needed.

Plants talk to each other, or at least I think they do. Perhaps some Risperdal is in order.

I've done them all together and there are no issues. I usually do it late at night or very early in the AM, preferably at night. If you do the DE alone sun won't be as much of an issue. Just mix after adding each. Usual order is DE first, then oils.

Sakharny Pudovichok (thanks Ted, they feel dense) to the left, a lone Mikhalych on top, followed by multiple Bundaberg Rumball (darker) and Linthorpa Prinzess. Bottom row shows size variety in Gregori's Altai, a pair of Gribovsky and a lone Dora in the top rt corner, and a gnarly Purple Reign.

It's been discussed a couple of times. I don't have the links handy.

I'll give you the skinny. Think of it as Punji sticks for the insects.


A couple of spoonfuls into a gallon of water, shake vigorously, transfer to sprayer, apply. If it rains, reapply. If you can, try and get the food grade.

It washes off the fruit. You can use it with Neem and or other insecticides.

Dora was excellent. Now all the dropped flowers hurt even more. I hope its siblings Bear Creek and Gary O'Sena don't drop 'em like cherry blossoms too.

Sakharny Pudovichok is solid, mild with some complexities.

Mikhalych dry farmed is just outstanding. I immediately dropped more seeds (in addition to previous ones prompted by its productivity) when I tasted the 1st one. High recommend.

Fred's Tie Dye was silky smooth, in the Scrappy Coco way. More plants are coming.

And the ugly Purple Reign was mostly individual nuggets fused at the stem itself--they separated easily. Only three were fused significantly. Seeds fermenting and more plants to come. Flavor was quite good, I'd say PBTD-like with a little PRobeson thrown in.

Two more tubes to be constructed specifically for these incoming tenants.

The next wave will be based on observed productivity and flavor.
