Holly,

I think I have one also.

Will try to post a pick later this evening. I've been away this past weekend and need to take some garden pics ASAP!

Oh good! Please do. I don't have a digital camera, except for on my phone, and I still haven't figured out how to get the photos from the phone to anyplace else. I think the phone is smarter than I am! LOL!

Here ya go Holly,

Not the best pics in the world, but you should be able to tell if we have something similar. This plant is very much shorter than 2 other Kimberly's I have plus it has loads of suckers and blossom clusters:

I love these funky little freaks of nature.

I'll try to take more pics when I get back from vacation...

Yep, mine looks a good bit like that, only wider in proportion to height, like it has a lot of side-shoots.

One of my Kimberly seedlings is regular-leaf, indicating a cross?? It has already set fruit, just as the potato-leaf plants.

Hello Tom! I've been quite busy in the garden. It hasn't rained in over 2 weeks, and I always work in the garden when the sun shines. (It's raining today! BOY am I glad!)

Yep, I'll be growing the Kimberly Cross in my greenhouse this year, and .... I'll be setting out about 100 maters next weekend, including Tom's Yellow Wonder! Can't wait to experience it!

How ya been?

I'm beginning to think my mutant Kimberly plant may be the result of some environmental condition. The reason I say this is that I've given plants away to a number of people. One friend who received some of these plants lives about 2 miles down the road from me. She tells me that her Kimberly plants are short stubby little things too.

I gave some to my brother and his wife who live about 30 miles away. They tell me that their plants are about 2 - 2 1/2 feet tall now. I don't know if it is soil, or weather or what, but I'm seeing a sort of pattern here. While I still had them in my care, they were all short stumpy little things.

Fert1,

I’m not sure what it is here in TN either, but I can tell you that my short dwarfish Kimberly is definitely the plant I will be saving seed from. I have 3 Kimberly plants total and the other two are narrow with only one main stem and regular growth habit. The “freak” is much more vigorous and almost appears to be multifloral:

I think yours has more flowers than mine, but otherwise it looks almost identical. Mine is setting fruit like crazy though. It seems to have at least 4 tomatoes in each cluster and there are clusters all over the place. I so need a digital camera!

Can you post some pictures of your normal Kimberly plants? I'd love to compare.

Mine has a lot of flowers, just not all together so much as yours, more like a few here, a few there, a few over there. All together, it might equal around the same number.

Bigcheef, you still out there? I was curious if your Kimberly plant remained a dwarf. Mine has one side shoot that has grown up to about a foot tall, and the rest of it is very short. The fruit off it has been good. What is your mutant plant doing now?
