Missed the MMMM
Kind of new to all this. I missed the MMMM and would have liked to try some of the seeds. I've found a few for sale online but can't seem to find them all in one place so shipping charges are killer. If anyone has a few and would like to sell them let me know. I have purchased a few already from Tania. Here is what I was looking for.
Esterina or Wherowkowhai Lucky Cross Brandywine Sudduth or Cowlick Boxcar Willie Chadwicks Cherry or Matts Wild Cherry or Iva Red Berry Last year was my first year growing from seed. Pretty successful but used only seed packs from big box stores. This year I've been following TV and would like to try some seed I see mentioned here. Thanks so much. I'm willing to pay for seed so no need to feel like they have to be donated. I would be buying them anyway. Below are a few pics of the grow rack I built. 2'x4' white oak, 3 shelves, 4 - T5 HO lights and 2-T8 lights so far. Thanks, Scott |

Welcome to Tomatoville!
You will have a much better response if you post your request in the appropriate forum. Please try to address your seed wishes in the Exchange Forum in the wanted section. We here at T'ville just swap or do a SASE for our seeds. There is not to be any money exchanged for seeds. Your shelves and plants from last year look amazing. You sure are off to a great start!

Who said you missed the swap? I haven't mailed any packages back, yet.
PM me your mailing address, and a BIGGER wish list. |

And in January look for my SASE seed offer. It's likely going to be more than 80 varieties this year. No money is ever exchanged here, we all like to share.

I am newish to reading the forum and I thought I was too late. Can I bandwagon along? I am another newbie who thought I missed the MMMM for this year. I do have a lot of left over seeds that I bought last year. I haven't saved any yet. I could send them in. Most were from bakers creek. What do you guys think?

Thanks for all the feedback. I'll try to post in the proper forums, newbie mistake. Really appreciate the offers from sponsors. Thanks so much. I will have many questions for all of you once I get a handle on the information overload here.
Currently have 12 dwarf cherry plants growing under lights. Want to see how they fare indoors over winter. Gives me something to do and allows me to practice. Also, 5 mini rainbow sweet pepper plants I brought in at end of summer. They are thriving right now, hundreds of buds and 40-50 peppers. We'll see how it goes. Scott |

They look really good. I like your setup. You can add me as a sponsor too.
When I first joined here, I didn't look at many of the other forums/sections for a while. I figured it out and like how it is situated. It's easier to find what you're looking for. I have one volunteer tomato plant growing in a pot this winter. This is my first time to overwinter a tomato plant. So far, it's like starting from seed and then potting up - except I didn't plant the seed, and instead of potting up to a solo cup - it's in a 15" wide pot. |

I'm just starting to get a hang of the different forums and what goes where.
My first try at winter growing too. Just figured it would give me something to do over the cold months. I'm not sure I'll get much of a harvest but its worth a try. Question: A few of my Red Robin and Micro Toms have buds forming. They are only 5-6" tall at the moment. Should I nip those off and let the plant root and mature a little bit before allowing it to start producing buds? I was planning on repotting once more to 1 gal pots. Thoughts? |

I'm so glad to hear that you are making it to the swap this year!
Your plants look just as nice and lush as last years. I would leave the flower buds to do their own thing. If the plant could not support the crop the flowers will abort on their own. Just remember that you need to be the pollinator here. Just give your plants a shake once or twice a day to allow the pollen to drop and you should be good to grow.
