Default Well...Color Me Purple!!

I'm not the sharpest knife in the butcher block...at least thats what the boss(the Mrs. Obispo45) tells me on a semi-regular basis. I'm a member of another friendly, gardening related forum and I think my quote or signature there was a Yogi Berra classic, one of many BTW..."You can observe a lot by watching". Think I need to change it!! Was going to start preparing dinner tonight when the boss informed me that everything I picked today was purple. For that matter everything I've picked thus far this season has been purple other than a sole serrano pepper I ate on the spot a week or so back.

Hadn't even noticed!! Peppers and eggplant started arriving early this year or so it seems anyway. Normally would have picked a green pepper or two by now, but apparently not. Eggplants are Orient Express and Beatrice both from JSS. Pepps are Islander...the bigger ones and Tequila the darker purple ones.

Hahaha... purple power... wouldn't it be great (I think) if they stayed that way when cooked... there's also a purple cauliflower out there.

I had purple pots last season for the eggplants...

Not sure if we like eggplant enough to grow it, but those peppers look VERY interesting. I think I'll add them to next year's list.
