I do not trust any fertilizer you can buy anymore or get free even if it is labeled organic. I do trust coco coir and fish emulsion. It is best to make your own compost and that way you know it is safe. There are certain brands I trust such as Pro Mix

A lot of people have the same concerns, Amen!!

What Native Americans use is their Farming Secrets, but I can only tell the closest thing I have used in the place of Native Americans Organic Products. 5 years ago I added Potting Soil to areas that were problems because I used up my "Native Product that takes 1 year to develop. It worked wonderfully.

Composting in very important for Crop Rotation. The latest studies shows; put Coffee Grinds in your Compost like I do really Amend your Soil. So continue to use your Organic Compost in between your plants if they are over 1 feet apart from each other to use next year. I call it c "Reactive Crop Rotation:.

i know this is an old thread, but i would not use bio solids in my garden or even on the lawn. if human bio solids, do you have any idea how many drugs people are
taking these days? i do. all those drugs have to be eliminated some how by the
body. those drugs are showing up in bodies of water, and rivers, granted in very
small amounts, but then what about the fish, and other surf food we may be eating?
i would like to know what if any studies they have done to measure what is in batches
of bio solids as far as contaminants, things that aren't supposed to be there.
i'll stick with my chicken bio solids that get composted. i get some massive
kale plants from that stuff.

I agree. Plus it is easy and cheap, or free to get safer ingredients Same with adding urine to fertilize. I remember Dr. Carolyn J Male, a former Urologist, recomended against doing that.

I am glad to continue this conversation because it's important for the young Farmers of Tomorrow.
Cow Compost is safer to use than any Product. I am going to start saving for next year's "Dirt Delivery".

I just was given some "Sand" that's going directly in my "Heirloom Carrot Garden", Amen!!
