Default Shady idea

A few of you have gotten cameras for x'mas, here is an idea for your camera.

A lens shade is important to get the sharpest picture, especially if you are taking pictures in a bright sunny condition. The shade will cut down internal reflection and glare. All professional photographers use it.

However, it may not be that easy to find one for your camera.

This is all you need: An empty medicine plastic bottle, flat black paint, and a pair of scissors.

You can use tape to adjust the inside diameter of the bottle opening if the fit is not exact.

Have fun.

dcarch is absolutely correct in recommending a lens shade. His method is the best, and least expensive for all to follow!

Be forewarned, any local camera shop, email provider as well, will try to pressure you into buying any accessories, the profit margin increases with each sale of every little thing! The retailers buy these items for 2-6 dollars and sell them for 20-30 dollars.

By the way, just about ALL of this stuff (junk) is made in China.

UV filter is another good consideration, but for another time.

Terry,

Thanks for the compliment, but I'm hardly an expert. I've been out of the business far too long
