Sand Hills BIG SET
I noticed the listing in the new Sand Hill Catalog for Big Set. Is this a dehybridized version of the 70s Hybrid Big Set? That was a great tomato for Texas gardens. Does any one know if this is the same?

Michael,
When I emed Glenn this AM about which tomato seeds I said I'd send him,ahem, I asked him about Big Set. IF he remembers to answer that question and one other, in addition to confirming what I'm sending him for growout this summer, I'll let you know about Big Set.

Glenn said he's "pretty sure" that the person in Illinois who sent him seeds for Big Set said that it was an OP version of the hybrid so well known in TX.

Thanks Carolyn. I'm going to order some for fall planting and see if it is as I rememeber. 6 to 8 oz globes, semi-determinate plant habit, and the ability to set a lot of fruit. Plus the taste was way above average.
