Default Golden Treasure

Well, it's taken me a long time to get any of these peppers but they were worth the wait. I originally had two plants by my back door and peppers would ripen to yellow but the slugs were getting to them before I could. I put out dishes of beer but I couldn't keep up with the slugs. I tossed about a dozen ripe peppers and got fed up and moved the plants about halfway through the summer. I put them on the other side of the yard and they got more sun there. I'm sure they didn't like being moved either. They sulked a while and finally recovered. So just last week I was able to start picking and sampling them. First I tried them raw and thought they were really good. I usually don't think frying peppers are very good raw but these were really crunchy and had fairly thick walls. Last night I tried them on pizza and was even more impressed. Cooking really seems to bring out their flavor even more. The next time they'll be grilled and I'm betting that'll be the best. I'll grow these again next year but I'll increase the number of plants. A new favorite! I love it when that happens!

Michele...They are one of the few peppers here ,that always produce huge amounts and taste great...I think this is the fourth year for them...
I have never seen a slug in the garden, but they are the favorite of grasshoppers and chickens, so that is often the fate of a great tasting pepper...Last year was hotter and the peppers turned deep orange and were super sweet...

Default Your Golden Treasure peppers

Hello,
yes, they sound like a winner!
I, too, would like some of your seeds and I could trade with Jimmy Nardello seeds, have you tried them?
I have one plant that is loaded with peppers right now, they are still green so I cannot harvest the seeds quite yet, but it won't be long.
