Winter 09 Dwarves in the Greenhouse
All my dwarves are planted in their containers in my greenhouse. Some in 5 gallon smart pots, some in 10. Six of my varieties are from the dwarf project-I am an honorary SH, so I grow with our friends down under. I used a container mix of 1/3 each of peat moss, perlite and Metro Mix 702. For fertilizer, I have started with 60cc's of azomite, 300 cc's of a pelleted fert that I think is 6-6-5 with 6% calcium. I put about 6 alfalfa pellets in each container also. Except for the dwarf project Mr. Snow, Sweet Sue, Rosella Crimson and Rosella Purple, all were started 35 days before going into their containers, and they have been in the containers one week today. Mr. Snow, Sweet Sue, Rosella Crimson and Rosella Purple went into their containers today and I started them not quite 3 weeks ago.
Here they are left to right top row: Dwarf Champion Improved, Grizzly Pink F-4, Jagodka, Kootenai, Mano, Mr. Snow F-6, Patio King, Rosa's Heart F-4 Bottom Row, again left to right: Rosella Crimson F-7, Rosella Purple F-7, Russian Cherry, Sweet Sue F-8, Tatura, Tumbler OP, Wilma, Window Box

Enjoy your 'winter' garden, Michael, if that's an appropriate name for it in the desert SW. I've enjoyed trying to grow indoors in a spare bedroom (in Omaha in the past), and now in a walk-in closet here in Toledo. Results were only ok for me, but for you in a greenhouse no doubt you get great results. Have fun with it and good luck. I've got a few Dreamy F2 seedlings that'll need transplanting here before long.
