I am trying to pick my tomatoes as early as possible without picking too early and affecting flavor. I have read that you can pick them when they blush and not compromise flavor. What I don't know is how much pink I should see. Timmah in your first picture is that what is considered blush? I still see lots of green. Not to question your choice to pick just wanting to know. The tomatoes are safe in my house; outside are grasshoppers and stinkbugs and scorching sun.

Usually, I let at least 1/2 the fruit blush; I was just overzealous in my first fruit blushing & wanted to get it in the house before the ants found it.
If it's gonna rain, I go out & pick the ones blushing to prevent them splitting.
You could try picking them at 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 3/4 blush, let them counter ripen & see if you can tell a difference.

saporous??? Ha, ha, I guess I've never had occasion to use that word, but I may add it to my tomato vocabulary. Good one!

Moravsky Div was my first one this year (sorry, no picture,
already eaten; think "Bloody Butcher" for what it looks like
and approximate size; plant is smaller than BB).

Flavor was excellent. (Not just "excellent compared to
mass-produced commercial fare", but better than I remember
the first Stupice, Bloody Butcher, Cowberian, or Kimberly
of the season ever tasting.) Slightly sweet with a definite tang
to it. A little more core in the fruit than a typical Stupice or
Bloody Butcher fruit, but I just wolfed it down anyway, and I
was glad that I did. (No waste.) I wish I had planted 10 of them,
just for the flavor.

That'd be my guess, too; although I haven't weighed any of my tomatoes.
It uniquely caused a tingle that spread from the sides of my tongue to my cheeks, with a zippy, sweet, somewhat rich flavor. There are larger ones, that was just the 2nd to finish & the first to be photographed before I ate it. =)
