Default Muddy Bucket "Bigguns" & others

Well, here's some of the mid to mid/late stuff coming in.

First, just how the daily harvests are going. The quantity you see on the kitchen island is what I am getting every two days. Besides what you see, there is another 3 bushels out in the garage. We have canned 48 quarts and 36 pints of Juice/sauce/salsa. Truly, my cup runneth over.

Here's a big ol' Cowlicks BW. Mercy, these things sure taste good.

A big thanks to Ruth for the seeds that led to this Toedebusch Pink.

Another new-to-me tomato this year was Magnif Potente. Makes good juice/sauce.

Here's the biggest one so far this year. I've had 7 others that were within 2 oz's of this one.

And here's three biggun's that were on the table when I got the urge to take a few pictures.

Enjoy,

Looking good you old dirt farmer. Time to hit the farmers market and show your stuff. Ami

I'm still waiting for photos of that roadside stand in the front yard!

First of all, as many good ones as I have been getting, I have had to throw away about a third that many because of splitting and a some damage due to few critters and my lack of spraying.

Michael, you have to tell those plants that you love them. When they feel that love, they do what you see. LOL

TimTom, my garden is 34' X74' and only about half is tomatoes and peppers.

Sherry and Ami - Thanks. It's been a lot of work. But I lost some weight.

Raybo, I found out that I can back my old Dodge Pickup into a space at the local flea market for 3 dollars a day. If I do a roadside stand, the hassle factor here is a Pain in the .....!

Enjoy y'all. I'll take a couple pixs of what I get in the harvest this morning.

Okay, here's what I got today. I had about a 20% throwaway factor from the toms that either burst from the rains we've had over the last 5 days or succumbed to bugs. I also gave away about 2 dozen to the lady who came to harvest some okra.

And here's the secret to my success. This is my gardening buddy, Cookie. She likes to "wee" in the garden.

I should have guessed. You have been holding back on us. Now the cats out of the bag. The container grower turned dirt farmer's secret fertilizer, Dog Pi$$. I should have known. No wonder my dogs were acting squirrelly when I was putting your seeds in my storage box. By the look of those maters I think the next dog you get should be a Great Dane. Ami

Ted you have a combination that can't be beat. A ton of wonderful tomatoes and a dog to assist you in the garden. I lost my helper this past year and it has been a bomber, she was so much company. I don't know about you but when it comes to garden work it's up to me. DH does help with the tilling and helps me plant peas and corn in the big garden. Glad you had such a great year.
