Default Admiralteyskoe Serdtse

This is a new offering in the 2010 SSE Yearbook from our friend Andrey Baranovski from Belarus (White Russia). It is a cross of Bytchye Serdtse (Bull's Heart) and Admiralteyskaya Shapka (Admirals Hat). I had to pull this fruit off before it fully ripened due to the weather turning cold and let it ripen indoors. It is actually one month behind schedule due to weather problems here in Germany. They are RL, Red, Heart /Oxheart shaped fruit and they are BIG. I can't wait till next year to regrow these beauties and have them ripen late August/early September. Ami

Nice photo, Ami. And this tomato is very flavorful as well ;-) Got it at our local farmer market the way Carolyn likes it the most :-)

Ami,

I am so impressed about how you manage to grow such gorgeous tomatoes - every one of yours look so yummy, this one is no exception. Awesome job!

Andrey,

Can you provide more info about this tomato? Ami mentioned it is a cross, is it stable? Who made the cross?

Thanks,
Tania

Absolutely right Andrey, same as Malinovyi Rog from Tula.

Will someone please send me some seeds of the Admiral? You know how I love heart shaped varieties. Good heavens, I don't think I've ever asked for seeds in a post but as is said, the older they get the bolder they get and I guess that describes me.

And Andrey, I'll e-mail you when I get a chance b'c I need to know more about Brandy Zolotoy and it has to do with Oleysa as well.

Right now I'm going tomorrow for the next to last trip ( of 8 trips already) to the eye surgeon after two cataract surgeries, for a pressure check, etc., and I hope tomorrow I can e-mail you. I'd better since listings for the YEarbook are due Nov 12th I think and I still have some questions.

Andrey, glad to see you are still keeping tabs on TVille. Hope all is well with you and your family. Thank you again for the seeds to this wonderful variety as well as Krasnyi Mayak which is another beauty.

Carolyn, I think we can make the seed thing happen!

Admiralteyskaya Shapka (Admirals Hat)

Like Carolyn, I'd be interested in the above or information as well as the cross
