Default Basement Set Up

So this is my basement set up. The plants are growing under a fold up table. I have an EdenPURE heater under it. The table is loosly drapped with a moving pad (not pictured). These heaters pose no fire hazard and one advantage is that I don't have to heat the whole basement. And it is a very cool heat. Hard to explain.

One shoplight shining vertically and a small grow tube shining horizontally with a reflector against the wall.

Very nice set up - your plants are looking very happy! Think I'm going to stagger my plantings this year a bit, too.

Looking good! How old are the seedlings?

Good question. I don't know, really. I'm a horrible recordkeeper, but I think the oldest ones are close to a month old.

I'm pleased with them, but I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the plants in my budget chamber are growing at a much faster rate. I atribute that to the intensity of the light, and the fact that it is being reflected in all directions so that there are practically no shaddows anywhere.

Just about everything is rootbound and ready to go in the earth. I planted 1 Box Car Willie and 1 Olive Hill. I'm waiting for the soil to warm. Maybe I'll post a pick in a few days. Everything's outside and hardened off now.
