Wow! Just now saw this thread. What a beautiful hoophouse/greenhouse you've got! I love the design, it looks really nice.

Hopefully you get many bountiful harvests out of it! You deserve to.

I hope it stays cool for a while!

Plants are struggling. I really want to try composting tea very soon to see if it will help. Still putting out tomatoes though!

Everything in the box is struggling. Crazy diseases and looks like red spiders all over the Celebrity. Temps are already over 100 in there! I need to get the mist system, shade cloth, and tea going asap!

Post those pics in the diseases forum if you need advice. Sounds like
spider mites, one plant looked like it had some early blight or something
close (the mostly green leaves with clearly delineated yellow patches),
and maybe magnesium deficiency on that one plant in the second
post that had the yellow blotches all over it (although a pest could do that
to it, too).

I think you nailed it on the head about the spider mites. Thing is covered with them!! Should I clean it real well and cut off the infected branches along with using a pesticide to kill the eggs?

As far as the magnesium goes, I use epsom salt about every two weeks along with a miracle grow tomato substance. I only sprinkle about a teaspoon around each plant though. No clue on how much to use. I do know that I don't see anywhere in the two...calcium. But these pics don't look like that has anything to do with it.

It seems like all of the plants eventually do that towards the bottom...the yellow spots that is.

As I looked at the photos I wondered about the lack of air flow- then I read about the veny and fan ! It's a really nice setup- will be looking for harvest photos!
Yes, you have a bumper crop of spider mites- my worst enemy- Once they are that bad it's usually death for the plants. You must not have been watching for all the pests, and they all got away from you. In such an enclosed space they will come around fast- Ypu probably need better air flow from ene to end- one fan likely isn't doing the job well enough. Good luck with it all.

I hear you. Here in the desert it's tough keeping it humid in there but I need to get another and bigger vent to keep it cooler as well. Once it get's too hot for the tomatoes it will become a pepper greenhouse!

Not likely magnesium deficiency then, it just looks like it (blotchy chlorosis
between the veins of the leaf).

I have not had spider mites, but there have been some recent threads
about them in the disease forum. If you click on the little button beside
the Search menu item at the top of the page, a little drop down menu
has Advanced Search. Click on that, you should be able to find the
spider mite threads with a keyword search (they do not necessarily
mention "spider mite" in the thread title).

It's been awhile since I've been on here. It's way too hot to do anything here but AZ gardening season is coming! I have moved to a new house with a much bigger backyard and looking forward to try some of the seeds given to me from others here. Greenhouse came with me and looking into making it bigger or doing some outside plants beside it.

I've been so busy the past few months and have barely had any time to get in the greenhouse so everything is struggling. I have way too many different variaties on this 18gal tote. Tomato, strawberry, lettuce, basil and hops. I hope I can make some improvements this weekend. Lot's of flowers but not one ripe tomato yet. PH has been extremely high but I finally got that straightened out. I just need to get another tote setup and some good nutrient levels. I think I'll make another setup for some suckers and start fresh on the space I have left. It's pretty much already time to put on a shade cover as well as we get warmed up here.

Tomato plant in rail was WAY overdue.

Think I might yank out the lettuce and start with something else. Everything isn't doing so good at this point. I'll be backing off the watering intervals BIG time as well. It's still set at 30 min on and 30 min off from when I did my lettuce in the winter. Will try 4-5 times a day at 20 min or so. All of the tomato leaves are curled in and this is probably why.
