Default Blondkopfchen or another yellow cherry?

I'm looking to grow a yellow cherry tomato this year, and Blondkopfchen is one I'm thinking of. I'd like to hear thoughts on this variety, from those who've grown it. Also are there any yellow cherries that you'd recommend over Blondkopfchen?

Default i love "blondechicken"

I like blondekopfchen. I always call it blond-chicken. It is especially fun if you have small children, they tend to consume large quantities of them out of the garden... very neat trick to make them eat more veggies.

the other yellow cherry I like is yellow pear. They look like little "shmoos" kind of like from the old cartoon. very reliable and taste good too.

I can send you either of these seeds or both, PM me if you want them. The other yellow-y like tomato I tried was wapsipinicon peach, but I really didn't care for the whole fuzzy tomato thing.

Some possible choices:
Coyote
Dr. Carolyn
Yellow Submarine (a yellow cherry that blows the socks off of Yellow Pear)

I happen to like:

Galina's Yellow, which is gold and PL, lovely cherry with great taste and not mild

Medovaya Kaplya is another one I like a lot. It looks somewhat like a Yellow Pear, but tastes a lot better, fruits look like wee bags tied at the top/

Douglas, I never got around to growing Blondkopfchen so can;t make a direct comparison with the two I mentioned above.

Everyone in my family loves Coyote! Our dogs even steal them off the vine. It was also the only variety that kept pumping out fruit through the hottest parts of last summer, which was absolutely brutal.

I have not grown Blondkopfchen in my garden but they often have it at the farm stand here. It's really tiny! For me, it's already difficult to keep up with the picking on a regular sized cherry tomato. I can't imagine trying to get all these little guys, but they sure are cute! That said, I am a big an of both Galina's (deeper, brighter yellow) and Lollipop (pale yellow).

Am growing blondkopfchen for the first time this year so I can't make a direct comparison yet, but so far I haven't found a cherry that I like better than Snow White (and yes that includes some pretty heavy hitters like sungold, green doctors, and yellow submarine).

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies! I'll consider all the varieties mentioned.

Both Galinas and Snow White are particularily tempting.

This fall I planted two "Ildi" cherries from Tomatofest and they are undoubtedly the most addictive cherries I have grown. I have given some to my neighbors and they keep dropping by and asking if I have more. The most prolific cherry I have grown.

I have not grown it myself but almost all the talk I hear about is not good. Meaning at it's very best... there are still much better varieties out there that you can grow.

I have a feeling there may be some NOT-Blondkopfchen seeds in circulation from the comments here.

I've been growing BK for at least 10+ years from seed gotten originally from the SSE public catalog. The plant can be HUGE with flower clusters all over it at times that make it look like a floral plant. The clusters are huge too -- multifloral. The fruit for me has always been a normal to slightly large cherry with a noticeable nipple or point on the end just like Riesentraube. As far as flavor, I'm not sure. I know I've tasted it and didn't think it bad. Just a bit bland as many yellow tomatoes are.

I grow at least 40 varieties of cherry and other small tomatoes, probably a lot more if I really looked at my lists. Galinas is one of my favs as is Green Doctors. Neither is bland and have nice flavors.

I would like to suggest either Ildi or Golden Grape. Both very prolific & tasty...altho I have to admit their taste pales before Black Cherry, Matt's Wild Cherry or Green Doctors. I grew Yellow Submarine 3 years ago & I liked it but it wasn't nearly as prolific.

Grew BK but found picking the small fruits a pain. Suggest Dr. Carolyn or Coyote

I grew them as well, and found that they were huge productive plants; however, the tomatoes weren't very good -- they were not very sweet at all. With that said, my climate (foggy SF) is a tough one to grow delicious tomatoes in, so I've gone back to sungold.
