Yes it is said people grow it every year the only drawback is it becomes accustomed to only the people that are around it all of the time.
If you are a stranger to one of these plants it is known to bite your fingers off.

A good watch tomato for any garden but you have to put up warning signs.

We sold these at work 2 weeks ago. Now I can only attest to how they fared in the 1 gallon pots while we had them, but I wasn't super impressed.
Could have been the fault of the wholesaler who planted them out and sent them to us, (some of their plants have been less than stellar) but they were tall and spindly, and didn't seem especially vigorous. They were $14.99 each, and yet they did fly off the shelves.
I'm sure I'll find out how well they did in 6-12 weeks, when and if people come back with problems. We shall see.

However, as I mentioned, this wholesaler seems to be planting in almost pure peat moss and the plants seem to get a nutrient deficiency, kind of pale and with a purple tinge on the edges of the leaves on the ones left at the end of the week(not sure tho')

And btw, the grafted roots seem to only give protection against soil born diseases, not foliar diseases. So...YMMV.
