Default My 2012 plants

Hello all. I am new to the board and just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a 27-year old recently married man with a baby on the way and a love for tomatoes. I've always had a few plants (had 70 one year in high school) and, having recently moved to an apartment, I've had to move towards growing in pots.

Anyways, I'll be on here from time to time to discuss my plants or gripe about low productivity from my few heirloom varieties.

Glad to be here!!!!

This is one of my two Patio variety plants. Doing well as you can see. White on the leaves is a dusting of Sevin dust as I had some issues with caterpillars.

This is a Black Krim that I have. I've wondered if it's tremendous growth since planting is a result of the red pot. It's 2-3 feet taller than my other plants. It just put on it's first fruit, which you can see to the right of the stem about halfway up.

Welcome to Tomatoville. I wonder if some of your yield problem is that they are getting too hot.

Or it could be that some of my heirlooms were started from old seed. The two shown were not grown from seed but my low-yielding varieties were.

It just amazes me how fast they grow. I posted these about two weeks ago and these plants are already about 12-16 inches taller than they were then.
