Lots of rain =

Poor tasting tomatoes. We've had more rain than usual for us here in central VA and the taste of our tomatoes shows it. We have some of the most bland tasting maters ever....almost as bad...yes ALMOST as bad as store bought!

Four years ago we had the same thing and it lasted all summer and into the fall. The really mild tomatoes were so tasteless that I couldn't even bear to eat them. I actually got my best tasting tomatoes in late October and November when the rains had finally stopped. That summer I didn't have a single variety that did not split badly and the foliage diseases were off the charts. Keeping fungicides on the plants is nearly impossible with weather like that; but you have to try or the diseases will devastate tomato plants.

For me it is equal to zero number of tomatoes

. So many diseases I had to deal with this year. I will start a new batch of seeds end of July so that we can hopefully have some decent harvest in Fall.
