Went over to my friends and took a couple of pic's of her CP tomatoes and foliage. This is theoretically from the same seed packet as mine (I gave her the plant that I started from seed).

Hers look like the real deal. Yours might have been a stray seed.

I will hold the squash, cucumbers and snow peas hostage until she hands over a fair share. I'm dying here waiting for the tomatoes to ripen.

Michael Pollan is listed as RL, the tomato on the picture is PL, at least it looks like it is to me.

Maybe it was a mislabeled Super Sauce seedling? Do any of your other Super Sauce plants have tomatoes on them yet to compare them with?

Super Sauce has Regular Leaf, the one on the picture has Potato Leaf.

At first I thought it might be a supersauce but as they grew it became apparent that it was not. I've attached a pic of the super sauce fruit. I have two plants and both look like this. These are more egg shaped where the mystery plant has more of a pear shape. Also the Super Sauce seeds did not arrive until about 6 weeks after I planted the mystery tomato.

I forgot to add that the mystery Cherokee purple plant is compact and dense. It isn't growing as tall as the other plants.

Maybe you could snip off a branch of her CP plant and use
the "leaf cleft graft" technique to graft it into the leaf axil
or the mystery plant. Once the graft takes, you can pinch
the growing tips on the other branches and let the CP branch
take over as the main stem.

I think stvrob in Florida showed a leaf cleft graph in one of the
first few pages of the "grafting thread".
