Interesting read dice. Thank you. I'm going to pick a couple tomatoes today that I've been waiting on to fully ripen. They are about 90% ripe with some green still on the top. Waiting sure is the hardest part!

Out here by the Pacific Ocean rain as they are ripening is always
a threat, so picking them at first blush and letting them ripen
inside reduces the risk of splitting and the risk of botrytis wilt
in the wind and rain infecting the fruit. I have seen this on wide,
flat beefsteaks after a week of rain, where the botrytis spores
were in the water pooled up around the stems of the fruit:

(For me it has been less of a risk on rounder, elongated, and cherry
tomatoes.)

Wish it was rainy down here,lol. But I do have some mold starting on my seedlings. It's been cloudy and foggy the past week. I tried using the milk solution about 2 months ago and it worked great, so I'm using it in the morning before the sun comes up.
